Head of Electrics & Systems Department

Reporting directly to our Operations Director, the person hired will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all the installations, repairs and maintenance operations of the electrical and electronic equipment and installations of yachts and superyachts.

He/she must have a deep knowledge of the main electrical, electronic and communication systems installed in luxury yachts and able to provide bespoke solutions to our clients. We are looking for a person capable of leading the internal electric & systems department and to establish alliances with the main electrical suppliers of the industry.

The main objective will be to guarantee the execution of the department's jobs according to the planification, quality and budget.


The successful applicant must provide proven experience of at least 4 years performing similar tasks.


  • Budgeting, planning, supervising and executing department works.
  • Installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical and electronic systems, navigation equipment, automation, HVAC, hydraulic systems, pumps, batteries, communication systems, etc.
  • Use of tools to ensure the compatibility and security of systems.
  • Design and reading of electrical diagrams and bills of materials.
  • Problem-solving ability and good solutions for system installations.
  • Compliance with the Quality, Safety and Environment Policy, thus assuming the responsibilities and obligations derived from legal and corporate regulations.
  • Planning, coordination, supervision and reporting of the approved jobs, ensuring that are executed safely, within budget, on time and following the quality requirements of the client.
  • Team management: To manage and coordinate the human department of electricity & systems, with approximately 5 employees.
  • Work close with the quotation department and give support in quotations related with electrics & system department.
  • Maintenance, tidy and cleaning of the facilities, equipment, supplies and tools of the area.
  • Give support to purchasing department, indicating purchasing of materials, consumables and tools necessary for the execution of the works.
  • Control of consumables and materials in the department's stock.
  • Coordination and fluid reporting of the jobs with the Project Management department.
  • Negotiation with supplier’s companies of the electrics & systems yachting industry.
  • Yachting on board visits and good skills communication with the client.
  • Ensure the reception and control of customer equipment to be repaired.
  • Final delivery of the works, following the quality standards of the company and the industry.
  • Propose improvement opportunities and participate in training and continuous improvement activities.
  • Participation in the achievement of individual and collective objectives.


  • Good knowledge of Superyachting industry.
  • Strong focus on results, quality, safety and efficiency.
  • Experience in team management, supervision and development.
  • Experience in planning and budgetary control.
  • Strong consulting skills are required to work with commercial clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dead-end environment. Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risk.
  • Professionalism of dealing with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects in various places and in a timely manner. Preparation of reports.
  • Experienced and demonstrated leadership ability with the ability to multitask, delegate and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of the QES.
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.


Used to work with ERP business management software.

Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).


Spanish and high English level (written and spoken). Fluency in another working language is an asset.


Degree in Naval Engineering or Electric Naval Engineering.


Tarragona - Spain.


Indefinite contract
