This particular yacht required our expertise due to damage sustained from a collision with a rock. The steel hull had suffered damage to approximately 1-18 frames, primarily affecting the bow and galley areas.
Our skilled team promptly assessed the extent of the damage and devised a comprehensive plan to restore the yacht to its former glory. We obtained necessary approvals from classification societies and began the meticulous repair process.
The repair works involved metalworks and welding, electrical system adjustments, system relocations, piping modifications, carpentry, interior refurbishments, painting, and finishing touches. We ensured compliance with classification society standards throughout the entire process, conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and replacing damaged plates.
With a focus on quality and precision, our team executed expert welding, meticulously restoring the damaged areas. The replacement plates seamlessly integrated with the existing structure, ensuring the yacht’s structural integrity and performance.

Hull welding is a critical aspect of ship maintenance and repair, ensuring the integrity and seaworthiness of a vessel. It is a specialized task that involves the fusion of metal parts along the ship’s structure. Welding hulls requires precision, expertise, and adherence to strict safety standards to guarantee the durability and reliability of the welded joints. Ship maintenance teams must employ skilled welders who are proficient in various welding techniques such as arc welding, gas welding, and laser welding to address different types of hull damage effectively. Additionally, thorough inspections and quality control measures are essential throughout the welding process to identify any defects or weaknesses in the welds and rectify them promptly. By prioritizing proper hull welding practices, shipowners can extend the lifespan of their vessels, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
