We are currently undertaking an exciting refit project for a >50m M/Y. One of the client’s specific requirements was the creation of custom Teak boxes to be installed in the beach club, serving as storage for yacht pillows, cushions, and canvas.
To fulfill this request, our skilled carpentry department meticulously crafted the boxes using high-quality Burmese Teak. The design called for breathable ventilation and an upper part matching the teak decking, complete with gray-colored seams. To achieve this, we employed the TDS caulking system for sealing the exterior seams, while the interior panels were securely sealed using West System epoxy.
As a final touch, we added stainless steel pneumatic pistons to facilitate effortless opening. These bespoke Teak boxes not only fulfill the functional requirement for storage but also seamlessly blend with the yacht’s overall aesthetic.
